Strolling Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia

Forsyth Park was created in 1851.  It is the Crown Jewel of  Savannah's parks

The Forsyth Fountain was
chosen from a catalog &
installed in 1858.

The Playground is
busy.

The main walkway is very wide.

Some sections of the walkway
are pedestrian only areas.

was placed in the center of
Forsyth Park in 1879.

This statue honors Major
General Lafayette McLaws.

Everyone comes to Forsyth Park to play.

This statue honors Georgians
who served in the
 Spanish American War

Eric and I enjoy watching people enjoy this beautiful day.  Frisbees and footballs fly through the air. People with dogs meet and chat while their dogs get acquainted.  Families picnic. People sunbathe, read, walk hand in hand.

Historic Fort Forsyth
has been incorporated

dining & Visitor Center.

The line is moving
slooowly...

It's time to get back on the Old Town Trolley and go back to our car.  Eric and I packed a lot of activities into just one day in Savannah.
