Christmas Dinner in Yuma, Arizona

Eric was busy this morning...  He mixed a 15 ounce can of Pumpkin into a Chocolate Cake Mix.

He pours the Cake Mix into
a baking pan & puts it in
our Microwave/Convection
Oven.

After our Mural Tour, we returned home to complete our Christmas Dinner preparations.

Eric ices the cake with
Cream Cheese Frosting.

The Pork Loin is cooking in the Crockpot, the Stuffing is baking in the oven.  The Potatoes, Corn, and Gravy are cooking on the gas stove.

He uncorks a bottle of

Christmas Morning: Touring Yuma's Murals

Yuma has commissioned murals and the City is very proud of them.  At 10:00 am Eric and I went looking for them.

There's no traffic at this time of day.
Everyone is home opening presents.

This mural's theme is Environmental Awareness.

The next mural is Flor del Desierto (Desert Flower).  The artist wants people to examine it closely.

Christmas Decorations @ Suni Sands RV Resort in Yuma, Arizona

It's quiet at Suni Sands RV Resort this Christmas.  There are fewer Snow Birds and fewer RVers here this year.  Because of Covid, there are no holiday activities at the Clubhouse.

Winter Residents light up the night.

Riding the Bike Trail in Yuma, Arizona

Eric and I are riding the East-West Section of the Yuma Bike Trail today.

I'm giving Eric a
Selfie Break &
this is how he
repays me!

The Bike trail runs next
to railroad tracks...

... & goes past neighborhoods.

Solar Panels & flowering
bushes

Riders can park their bikes
off the Trail & take a break.

Welcome to West Wetlands

Eric & I enter Gateway Park.

At the time, this was the only bridge across the Colorado River and the major shortcut in the Western States for overland shipping and travel.

This portion of the Bike Trail
runs along an irrigation canal.

The Territorial Prison
is on a bluff above the

A Great Egret appears to be
snoozing in a nearby tree.

Eric & I ride to the Eastern end of the Trail, where the pavement ends, and retrace our ride.

the Rest Area

This is an easy ride.  We look forward to exploring the North-South Trail on another day.
