Driving South to Yuma, Arizona

Eric & I say goodbye to

Today's drive is literally
due South.

Interstate 11 South shares
its roadbed with US Routes
93 & 95.

We left at 9:00 am.

The roads are
nearly empty.

We continue South
on US Route 93.

I can't identify this black area.

Is it something covered with
black plastic or is it a
Solar Panel Farm?

Welcome To Searchlight

Historic Mining - Ranching Area

The road ahead...

Powerline Towers as far
as the eye can see...

Thanks for Visiting Nevada

Welcome to California

Speed Checked By Radar

The open road ahead...

A Call Box for emergency calls

Even after decades of Cell
Phone use, Californa still
feels there's a need.

Brittlebush is in bloom.

It's Ginny's turn to drive,
Ginny's turn to drive...

Our plans to drive due South
have just been altered...

US Route 95 is closed ahead.

I take the turn wide & slow.

And follow California
State Route 62 East.

California/Arizona border.

The rest of our drive is
on Arizona State
Route 95 South.

Eric & I drive through Quartzsite,
a favorite wintertime haunt.

I love these mountains!

The Yuma Training Ground
has a long history.

I have no idea where the
bridge goes...

One of Yuma's many
commercial farm fields.

Eric & I return to Suni
