Why were the milk container and the egg white container bulging? Eric checked the temperature of the refrigerator... 38 degrees. What about the use by dates... The milk is best used by September 23 and the egg whites have a best used date of October 17.
What is going on??? Eric figures it out. I'm still aphasic from early morning and he's able to figure out complex problems.
The air inside the milk and egg whites containers bulged because the air around them thinned out because we are at a higher altitude here in Laramie, WY... 7,112 feet above sea level. We've been at lower levels of elevation and didn't open the tops of these containers along the way to stabilize the air pressure inside and out.
All day long, bottles of salad dressing have been "whishing" when we open them. They mayo container burped out way too much mayo when I was making my sandwich this afternoon.
Stop the madness! Open up all the jars and bottles we have in the refrigerator and let the air pressure inside and outside stabilize.
