Shopping at Kimmel Orchard in Nebraska City, Nebraska

Harvest Hosts network members provide free overnight parking to network subscribers.  Our obligation is to shop at our host's business and support their business.  It's 9 am and Eric and I are among the first customers of the day.

Eric and I thanked Erin for giving us permission to spend the night.  We bought 5 pounds of apples, mixed varieties including Jonathan, Jayglo, Shizuka, Gala and Honey Gold.  The fresh Apple Cider Donuts were de-licious!  Eric and I split half a dozen.  We also bought Nebraska Popcorn. 






 Kimmel Orchard partners with the University of Nebraska.  On site is the Education Center and landscape architecture students plan, plant and maintain areas on the property with ground covers, flowers, bushes, ornamental grasses.
