Downtown Rapid City's Art Alley

Artists with Spray Cans get
permits to share their works
with the public in Art Alley.

Themes vary...

A Native American, an Overweight
Middle Aged Man...

... & lots of color & stylized lettering

Over time the art becomes a
layered collection of colors
& styles.

Artists try out new themes
& display their best work.

Grogu (Baby Yoda) in his pod

Eric & I take out time
walking through this
public art venue.

Locals park their cars in
recesses of the alley.

The door is artfully painted
into the scene, making it
invisible.

The Purple lettering has
graffiti written on it in
crude lettering

Super Hero themes dominate
this section of the alley.

I look closer at the colorful
swirl & realize that it's
the Human Heart.

The Thistle like Plant also
 looks like a decorative mask
 & talon-like hands.

Creative use of preexisting
plumbing fixture...

A Gas Mask wearing
Indian in full Headress.

Downtown's Art Alley is a wonderful place to stroll and take in the locals' colorful, creative design work.
