Brunch @ The Hen & The Hound in Middleburgh, New York

Welcome to Middleburgh,
first settled in 1713.

Parishioners are leaving the
Sunday Service.

Eric & I have reservations
for brunch at The Hen
& The Hound.

The decor is informal.

This former private
home is quaint.

The menu mixes breakfast and lunch foods, giving diners many choices.  It changes weekly to take advantage of seasonal bounties.

Eric's brunch choice is a
Pancake topped with
 Sunny Side Up Egg.

My "Not from a Can" Hash
has cubed Corned Beef &
Potatoes with three Poached
Eggs & a side of Leaf Lettuce.

Eric loved his specialty breakfast.  I am very impressed by the quality of the hash.  The Poached Eggs are irregular because they were dropped into boiling water.  The side salad is an unexpected, and delicious side.

There's a lot on the menu that Eric and I want to try.  We shall return....
