Eric here. I don't write too many blog posts but this one was needed because Ginny was not available.
Here's an update and summary for those who don't know yet.
Ginny and I went to the State Capitol of St. Paul, MN for a tour yesterday at 1pm. Just before the tour started Ginny was coming off a staircase and slipped on the last step. She ended up breaking her ankle pretty badly.
The ambulance took her to Regions Hospital which was 2 blocks away.
They determined it was broken and since Ginny had not eaten anything for 6 hours they sent her into the operating room where they worked on her for 3 hours. They ended up installing 2 large screws, 2 plates and 10 small screws to hold on the plates. She will have to keep weight off the left ankle for 6 weeks.
All through the ordeal Ginny was not in enough much pain to keep her from talking and joking. She even talked radiology into letting her take photos in the X-Ray room!!
She stayed over last night and has a splint on. She'll probably be released today.
We're going to drive over to Oshkosh, WI to stay with our friend Bonnie for a few days until we need to be back here at the hospital for a followup. We then will go to the Winnebago Rally from July 15 to 26. Then I'm not sure. We may need to be back for another followup.
Ginny has been taking photos (and so have I) so you'll get a MUCH more detail accounting when she gets back on her Blogging horse and starts writing again.
Fulltiming makes for worries about this kind of thing happening far from home but the process was good, all went very smoothly and our open schedule certainly allows for making changes in our plans.
So to summarize......
21st Capitol visit with an asterix, Ginny broke, hospital, screws, fixed, Oshkosh Bonnie, Dr. followup, Rally......then??????????

PS - Ginny sends all her best to all you Blog readers.
