Tropic Winds RV Resort in Harlingen, Texas

Eric & I arrived at
Tropic Winds, in
the rain....

Tropic Winds is an
Encore RV Resort.

I like the location of
their Mail Box.

Registration is at The
Main Hall.

Tropic Winds is an Over 55, gated community.  This is the first RV Resort we've stayed at that has an age qualification.

Eric registers at the
Business Office.

He gets a pleasant surprise...  New Customers at Tropic Winds get one month for $299.00.  This is a huge break on the cost of our two month stay.

The December Calendar
is full with activities.

Eric & I settle in on Site 282.

The 40 foot patio provides
ample parking & room
for a picnic table.

In this open area our DirecTV Dish picks up our television satellites.  We have full hookups here: water, sewer and 50 amp electric service.  The electricity is metered and we will pay for our usage before leaving Tropic Winds in February.

Our first full day here,
is cold, windy & rainy.

Eric clutches his
umbrella tightly...

... as he and I leave the warmth of our motorhome for a Craft Fair at The Main Hall.

There's a crowd here....

I expected the Craft Fair to have six vendors, set up in the middle of the room, with a handful of shoppers.  I am so wrong!  The Craft Fair is a public event with everyone welcome.

Door Prize numbers are being
called while shoppers browse
the 30 plus vendors offerings.

The Oatmeal Cranberry
Cookie was delicious!

Eric and I are done exploring the Resort today.  I will walk around Tropic Winds after this unseasonably cold weather moves through...
