As we drove into Yuma,
we noticed the fields
with a variety of crops.
I read a banner that says, "Yuma is the Winter Vegetable Capital of the US." As we drive around the area, I realize that the Colorado River has been diverted into canals for irrigation.
The newest planting of
red lettuce.
More mature red lettuce
& then, green lettuce.
A crew harvesting
vegetables.
At dusk, we see the fields
being irrigated.
We see a truck with boxes
of vegetables.
Boxes labeled for different
companies, with probably
the same vegetable inside.
