The road is pin straight.
Rodeo is the last town we
pass through in New Mexico.
It's sprinkling when we
enter Arizona.
Leftovers from this
morning's rain.
The mountain ridge to the
west intrigues me.
The hillside is bleak.
We stop at the Lavender Pit
outside of Bisbee, Arizona.
The buildings in Bisbee
climb the mountain side.
Eric puts on the air brake
for a long, steep hill.
The shadows of clouds
slide across the mountains.
I look forward to visiting
Tombstone.
The landscape is scrubby,
with whitish sand.
