President Bush accepted this generous offer because he considers himself to be a Texan and he likes the atmosphere of the College Station A & M University Campus.

President Bush lost his reelection bid in 1992 to William Jefferson Clinton.  George and Barbara Bush returned to private life.  They are busy with family, friends.  President Bush teamed with President Clinton in 2005 to raise more than $100 million dollars for victims of Hurricane Katrina.  He has made headlines skydiving, including jumps on his 80th and 85th birthdays.
