Driving Northeast to Norcross, Georgia in Two Days

Eric and I drove 844 miles northeast to Norcross, Georgia in two days.  Spoiler alert, it went well.

We stop at Tiger Truck Stop
to get Diesel Fuel in Louisiana
because prices are low here.

I think the prices are because
shipping costs less because
of the State's Major Ports
& Oil Refineries.

Next stop - A Walmart in Baton Rouge for groceries and a good night's sleep.

Eric follows signs to Interstate 12.

This route takes us north of

This is an Overside Load.

We visited the NASA
Center in 2018.

I recommend visiting here if you're ever in Southeast Louisiana.

Welcome to
Sweet Home

Because of our tight time schedule, Eric and I cover hundreds of miles per day on Interstates.  State and US Routes are great when we there is lots of time to explore.

We reminisce about our 2017 drive southwest drive from Rotterdam, New York to Columbus, Texas.  It was wonderful to drive America's "back roads" to enjoy nature, farmlands, and small towns.

Leaving Interstate 10 to
continue our drive on
Interstate 65 North.

Eric & I toured the Tuskegee
Site in 2013.

The Black Pilots, known as the Red Tail Squadron escorted B-17 Flying Fortress and B-24 Liberator Bombers on Missions over France, Germany, and Poland during World War II.

Put this Historic Site on your list to learn about how everyone contributed to the Allies winning World War II.

A School Bus in tow...

I have a flashback to our 2004 Winnebago Vectra Motorhome being towed in 2023.  The Tow Truck Driver was very professional.  I was sooo nervous and everything worked out well.
