Andrew Wyeth's painting style is very different from his father's. His Water Color and Tempra paintings are described as realistic, with hidden metaphors alluding to memory, nostalgia, and loss.

The Life and Art of Barbara Shurmand
Barbara Shermund, born in 1899, attended the California School and Fine Arts before moving to New York City and becoming one of the first female Cartoonists at The New Yorker in 1925.
"How do I look, Grandpa?"
"Very nice, dear."
"NICE."
Shermund's sly humor depicts Female Power (first-wave feminism) in the early to mid-20th century.
"Evelyn, speak respectfully
to your father!"
"Oh Mother, don't be so
pre-war!"
"Don't sigh with relief yet -
I'm not finished!"
"Don't bother to introduce us -
we'll just mill around."
But wait, there's more... N.C. Wyeth and Andrew Wyeth's homes and studios are nearby and available for tours.
