Delta Junction, Alaska: The Official End of the Alaska Highway

Eric at the Delta Junction
Sign

Center is easy to find.

Eric at the official end
of the Alaska Highway,
1,422 miles from Dawson
Creek in British Columbia.

Alaska's mosquito, "the state's
unofficial bird,"  is on display.

Just kidding!  The Willow Ptarmigan
is Alaska's state bird.

I enjoy the Visitor Information
Center's wildlife display.

Trumpeter Swans

Eric and I bought a certificate for $1.00 that certifies we have gone through trials and tribulations to reach mile 1,422, the End of the Alaska Highway at Delta Junction, Alaska.  Our trials and tribulations include having a chip in the windshield repaired in Watson Creek Yukon Territory, Canada.

Coffee is available at the
Visitor Information Center.

Take a few minutes to enjoy your
coffee while you chat with staff.

I am not turning around and leaving just yet... I want to visit North Pole, Alaska, Fairbanks, Denali National Park, Anchorage, Homer, Soldotna, Valdez.....
