The Public Library in Casselman, Ontario Canada

The Public Library in Casselman
is attached to the school.

Like many libraries in small communities, the library in Casselman has been housed at different sites.  In 1943 the library was located a room at the Village Jail. It moved to a building near the theater.  The local school took the library in until 1965.  After leaving the school, the library's collection was put into storage until 1968 when the church provided space in the basement.  In 1972, the library moved to a room on the second floor of Town Hall.  A library was built and opened in November 1980 to serve Casselman and nearby Cambridge.

This library is well stocked
with books, books on CD....

Thank you, Director Rachel Boucher, for directing me to Un Peuple Autour de une Croix:  Centenaire de la Paroisse Sainte-Euphemie de Casselman 1886-1986 by Jean-Pierre Perrault.  I found information on my family, the Quennevilles, and their contributions to Casselman.
