The San Francisco Zoo in San Francisco, California

It's Halloween Weekend & I chose

to visit the San Francisco Zoo

to avoid crowds.

The San Francisco Zoo

has Halloween themed

activities this weekend.

Many visitors are here in costume.

There are Halloween decorations

throughout the Zoo

Eric honks with the gaggle

of Geese.

We did the creepy viewing first because I'm bug phobic.  It's always smart to do the difficult stuff first.  The rest of our visit will be fun.

The San Francisco Zoo educates visitors by introducing them to the State's rare inhabitants.

California Four Legged Frogs

are the State's largest Frogs.

The San Francisco Garter Snake

is described as a beautiful snake.

Peacocks are always popular

with visitors.

The male Great Hornbill

These Bornean Orangutans

are amused by...

... the neigboring Chimpanzees.

A Chimp walks across a rope

to & from their apartments.

Sometimes they hang out

together.

We spent the most time during our visit watching this group of Chimpanzees with their Halloween treats.

This adult Mandrill bosses the

younger Mandrills around.

Eric & I spend time with

the Giraffes.

Branches are suspended for

them to nibble on.

Zebras & Ostriches share the

Savannah habitat with the

Giraffes.

The temperature is dropping and it's raining.  It's time to leave the San Francisco Zoo to Halloween Ghouls and Goblins.

Eric and I leave Duncans Mills Camping Club under sunny skies.

Local bicyclists are out for a ride.

Our first turn is onto 

California State Route 116.

Eric retraces our drive,

 past Wohler Road...

... to US Route 101 South.

Here's our Exit to Pacifica.

Looking south along the

Pacific Coast.

We arrive at San Francisco

 RV Resort.

Eric & I are in a pull-through site

that has 50 amp electric service

with good voltage, water, &

sewer hookups.

This is our "home base" for visiting San Francisco.  But first, I'm going to walk around our new neighborhood.
