The sparks of revolt against England and King George III were ignited here. Boston was at the center of protests of the Townsend Act in 1767. Paul Revere's midnight ride on April 18, 1775 started in Boston. The British siege of 1776 of the city was called off after the newly formed Continental Army took the high ground at Dorchester Heights and trained their cannons on English troops below.
Newer sections of the
city have multi lane
roads.
Double parking is common.
Boston's 17th century beginnings are seen in the older sections of the city, out on its hilly peninsula.
The streets are narrow.
Eric drives our small Jeep Wrangler through congested downtown Boston. We agree that we will never drive our 40 foot motorhome, towing our Jeep through this city.
We are in a canyon of

Eric and I had a great day in Boston. History came alive for us during our tours of the Sam Adams Brewery (beer making is as old as Boston), the Massachusetts State House and the
John F. Kennedy Presidential Museum.
