Bombay Peggy's red roof
caught our eye.
I love the artwork.
Bombay Peggy's has an interesting history. Following uses as a private residence and boarding house, Margaret Vera Dorva, known as Bombay Peggy, purchased the building in the early 1940s. An enterprising businesswoman, Peggy ran her bootlegging business and brothel here. In 1998, the building was moved from the north end of Dawson City to Second Avenue. Following restoration, it opened as a historic inn and pub.
The bartenders were busy with
other customers when I got
a shot of the bar.
Eric continues to sample
Yukon Brewing Company beers.
Today, he chose Midnight Sun
Espresso Stout.
I had a Jackson Triggs
Cabernet Sauvignon.
The pub was lively and we enjoyed our drinks in a building with a colorful past and a bright future.
