Dinner @ Pekin Noodle Parlor in Butte, Montana

During our drive to West Yellowstone, Montana, Eric and I heard a Stuff You Should Know Podcast about Chinese Food in America.

The oldest continuing family-run Chinese restaurant in the United States is in Butte, Montana.  Tam's Pekin Noodle Parlor was open 24 hours a day in the early 1900s.

Pekin Noodle Parlor,
on Main Street, was
built in 1909.

The restaruant's specialty
is Chop Suey.

Eric's choice is Pekin Special

I am trying Pekin Special
Chop Suey.

Chop Suey was invented at this restaurantThis stir-fry dish is made with leftovers of Pork, Chicken, and Vegetables and served in a thick brown Sauce.

The difference between the
Chow Mein & Chop Suey
is the addition of
 Crispy Noodles.

Eric and I love our dinners.  The Dim Sum is a variety of Chinese Dumplings and Snacks.  The Chow Mein and Chop Suey are perfectly prepared.

We are happy to share a meal at this historic Chinese Restaurant in downtown Butte.
