Eric & I start our drive
under overcast skies.
As we drove in Interstate 83
South, the sky brightened.

We are taking Interstate 81
Roads will be closed September
26 - 27 for Pope Francis' visit
to Philadelphia.
We stopped for diesel at the
Flying J in New Milford.

We crossed into Maryland.
Interstate 81 South in Maryland
is the Maryland Veterans
Memorial Highway.
I drive the motorhome
through the mountains
of western Maryland.
The Empire bus is parked
near us at a Rest Stop.
This TV series is

For just $24.95 per year, we have access to to information on thousands of free overnight RV parking spots across the US and Canada. The Walmart in Wheeling, West Virginia no longer allows overnight RV parking. I am reporting the store's change in overnight parking to the database administrator.
The ramp on Exit 10 has
a 7% Grade.

We re-enter Pennsylvania on
our drive west.
If you look on a map, you'll see that Interstate 79 runs north to Washington, Pennsylvania, where we pick up Interstate 70 and head west . Smaller roads run east/west across the Appalachian Mountains. Eric and I are driving cross country on a schedule and don't have the time to sight see our way through the mountains.
