Eric and I are staying at
Askew's Landing Campground in
Edwards, Mississippi. It's very peaceful here. There's no traffic rumble from the highway and no train whistles. This campground is so quiet that I slept
14 hours last night.... I went to bed around 12:00 am and got up at 3:43 pm. Other than sleeping, walking around the lake, visiting with other campers and fishing are the main activities here.
Registration & the
Camp Store
The Pavillion
This is the former
Bridgeport Plantation,
the site of a Civil War
Battle on May 17,1863.
The lake is the central
focus of the campground.
The geese honk & charge
anyone who gets near.
This campground is the best kept secret in Mississippi.
