Driving From Southern California to Yuma in Arizona

Eric and I left at 7:00 am to "beat the traffic" in Southern California.  There's always heavy traffic in Southern California.

We stop for a Commuter Train.

Turning onto California

State Route 14 North to

connect with our

southbound route.

This Frankentree is flanked

by Italian Cyprus.

Joshua Trees are everywhere

in this region of California.

Eric and I visited Joshua Tree National Park in  2014.  It is a beautiful, rugged, and unique environment preserved for Americans to enjoy and explore.

I love taking pictures of 

mountains with sparse 

plant life.

Sonoran Desert.

in this photo is the

Salton Sea.

Eric and I stayed near the Sea in 2014 and 2020.  As the Salton Sea dries up, windblown particles are harming local residents' lungs.

This desolate region has

 roadside Call Boxes.

An old fashoned service

is still a necessity

 in 2025.
