Eric & I leave Lost Valley
Lake Resort at 6:30 am.
Including a time zone change that adds an hour to our drive when we cross into Indiana, we expect to e ten and a half hour drive today to Central Ohio.
Traffic is moving steadily as
we approach Saint Louis.
GRG Great Rivers Greenway
Grant's Trail
Saint Louis has numerous
greenways and parks.
7:45 am.
After crossing the
Mississippi River,
we enter Illinois.
Effingham, Illinois
Crossroads of
Opportunity
We are at a major highway
exchange.
Our choices are Chicago,
Indianapolis, Sigel
& Effingham.
Eric and I switched seats and I drove for an hour and a half.
With our Pilot RV Plus Card,
we get 8 cents off per
gallon on diesel.
$2.27 a gallon is
a great price.
I fell in love with this
fluffy black dog at the
Pilot Travel Center.
I take the wheel as we
continue our drive
east on Interstate 70.
That's what Ohioans
chant at rallies.
South Vienna has
two water towers.
Eric stops at the painted
"stop bar." well back from
the traffic light.
And says.... "This is why the stop bar is so far back from the corner as a tractor trailer turns onto the southbound road."
Roads, traffic signals &
pavement lines are planned
to ensure traffic flows
smoothly.
Eric sat and patiently waited for our turn through the traffic signal.
We follow detour signs.
This is a great ad....

Treat Yourself To The Best
The Holmes County
Courthouse is
beautiful.
The detour added nearly an hour to our looong drive day. Sigh............. I start to think of National Lampoon's Vacation with Chevy Chase.
Wally World is that
a way...
Finally, we arrive at
Wally World.
It's 7:15 pm... Time to level, put the slides out, start dinner and watch a little TV before turning in for the night.
