It all started at Forks High School,
where Edward saved Bella's life.
Bella's dad, Charlie Swan,
is the Police Chief of Forks.
Stephenie Meyer wrote Twilight without ever visiting Forks. The Chamber of Commerce designated two houses with similar features as Bella and Edward's homes.

at 775 K Street.
654 East Division Street is designated
as Edward Cullen's house.
The owners of the Miller Tree Inn
added the Cullen name to
the mailbox.

on a white board on the front

The Twilight movies were filmed in the Portland, Oregon area and in California. Getting the details correct was very important to producers of the Twilight films. Still shots were taken of the Forks Town Hall, Community Hospital and the High School to provide details for filming locations. The Forks Police Department worked with the film producers to provide accurate logos, uniforms and badges for the movies.
