Driving the Mountain Trails Northeast of Mountain Lakes RV Resort

Eric drives past

As we climb the mountain,

we see alpacas,

or llamas.

The road goes around
the mountaintop.

We see a raptor.

I don't know which one.

Mountain Lakes RV Resort

lies below.

We don't know what this

equipment is doing up here.

Roads lie in the distance.

A stand of sycamores.

 It's a great day for a drive.

We pass beneath an
electrical tower.

There are high pressure

gas lines in this area.

And here's a gas line.

The vegetation thins out

as we pass by formations

made out of sand & stones.

These formations remind me
of the ones we saw at
Joshua Tree National Park.

Electric wires slant down

toward the train tracks.

I wonder if this is an
old caboose.

Our next turn

Pines are prevalent
here.

on this tree.

We are now at 6,375 feet.

It's all downhill from here.

The yellow flowers on the

bush are so pretty. 

The trail becomes rocky.

We are at Lytle Creek.

Suddenly, pavement
appears.





We are now just three miles from Mountain Lakes RV Resort.
