Spending Time in Seaside, Oregon

Eric and I visited Seaside briefly in 2014.  We visited Seaside several times during our stay at Thousand Trails Seaside RV Campground

 Discovery camped near
 Seaside at Fort Clatsop
during the winter of
1805-1806.

The beach & the elevated
promanade on the left

There are always people
walking on the beach.

Walking past the Aquarium.

Birds face eachother
on this fenceline.

A beautifully landscaped
house with an ocean view.

This fixer-upper is for sale.

The For Sale sign is printed
on a study mesh to allow
the wind to blow through it.

This telephone pole is
decorated with knit
& crocheted sea
creatures.

One of the ocean-front
hotels

Eric & I walk on this
handicap accessible
path to the beach.

The lighter colored sand
"moves" as the wind
sweeps the beach.

The decor is casual

Eric with a glass of Rogue
Dead Guy Ale & our lunch:

Clam Chowder, Fried Clam
Stips & Onion Rings

Lunch was great!  Now we know why Mo's Seafood & Clam Chowder is so highly rated.

Walking along Broadway....

Funland has an arcade
& food.

On another visit to Seaside...

Eric & I went to Dooger's
their Menu selections.

The decor is traditional, with
 many beach-themed
 paintings.

Eric with his Alaskan Brewing

Haddock Ceviche & Seared
Ahi Tuna with Salsa

Clam Chowder &
Oyster Crackers

Dungeness Crab Legs with
Butter, Cocktail Sauce &
Toasted Bread

Wow!  Every dish is perfectly prepared and dee-licious!

Because we tried different foods, I am not going to try to rank Mo's and Dooger's.  I can tell you that the Clam Chowders are different recipes, and each one is great.

has an impressive menu.

Sadly, the Beer Page is
unreadable.

Seaside has done a great job promoting its beachfront.  The elevated promenade is concrete, level, and wide.  People stroll, jog, and ride bikes there.

There are many things to do here: games, rides, lots of food, shopping...  What I liked the most during my visits was the people watching.
