Driving Northeast to Red Rock, Arizona, With Help From Kerry

Eric & I start our drive

 on Interstate 8 East.

Red Rock is northeast
of Tucson.

This section of highway

is dead straight.

RV & Residential Lots are
available near Wellton.

We pass farm fields.

I don't know what

this crop is.

The A on this mountain is for
Antelope Union High School
in Tacna.

The Speed Limit on this section of 

the highway is 75 miles per hour.

Eric is driving at 63 miles per hour.  The few cars and trucks traveling east are passing us.

The exit ramp for Mohawk Valley

Eric & I stop at the
Flying J Travel Plaza
in Eloy to top off our
diesel tank.

The exit to Red Rock

The Red Rock water tower
sits next to the train tracks.

The Park Link Drive Rehabilitation

is still up.

Eric & I to wait a bit to continue

on our route.

The road is closed and we were directed to follow Detour signs.

The first leg of the detour
is on Missile Base Road.

Another detour sign....

The GPS shows that there
are roads to the left that
will bring us to BLM
(Bureau of Land Management)
Land & our campsite.

Here we are, on a dirt road.

Kerry's tractor is in the

She & Eric went to get some
boards to help free the
motorhome from the dip
that we couldn't navigate.






(Eric and I unhitched our Jeep and moved it up the road, out of our way.)

With our jacks extended, the

rear wheels on the driver's

side are off the ground.

Kerry uses our tow strap and her tractor to pull us out of the dip in front of her house.  Eric and I thank her over and over again.  

Eric turned the motorhome around in Kerry's driveway and waved goodbye to our Hero.  I follow Eric, in our Jeep, back to the missed detour sign and continue toward BLM Land.

About seven miles later
we parked in our
campsite.

Three bits of Teddy Bear
Cholla attached themselves
to the motorhome's door.

We are boondocking for

four nights.

This is our new neighborhood.

Exploring More of "The Secret Menu" @ IN-N-OUT Burger in Yuma, AZ

Eric & I arrived at IN-N-OUT

Burger at 11:40 am.

We got a parking spot in
the IN-N-OUT lot.







Eric parked in the adjacent parking lot for our three previous visits to this Yuma fast food restaurant.

The Drive-Thru Lane has just

one car partially obscured

by bushes.

There's no line to order...

Eric gives Jenn our lunch

order from his phone.

"The Secret Menu" options made each our requests complicated.

I find a table for two
in the corner.

The left side of the tray has

 my Light Well Done Fries

& 3x3 Cheese Burger,

with Yellow Peppers.

The right side of the tray has

Eric's Well Done Fries & my

Cheese Burger, with Mustard

Grilled Beef Patty.

Eric's 3x3 has 3 Beef  Patties,
3 Slices of Cheese, Lettuce,
Tomatoes & Yellow Peppers.

in one hand.











Lunch was great!  Eric left completely sated, and proud of himself.  That's a lot of food. 
My Mustard Grilled Beef Patty in my Cheeseburger was so flavorful!  We both agreed
that the Light Well Done and Well Done French Fries were tasty and great with Ketchup.

This is our last lunch at IN-N-OUT Burger for the year.  Eric and I will be leaving Fortuna 
de Oro RV Park and start our leisurely drive northeast to New York State.

The North Hall is the hub of
this 1,200 + site RV Resort.

The building hs a large Recreation Hall, Kitchen, Fitness Room, Card Room, Crafts Room, and a small Laundry Room.

Next to North Hall is

the Swimming Pool.

Poolside Cabanas are prized

at this Arizona RV Park.

A small bar opens for

Park Events.

The large grill is available
for Cook Outs.

Fortuna de Oro RV Park has

 a Bar & Grill, Pro Shop

& Golf Course.

The Bar & Grill has a kitchen
with a simple menu.

Eric & I are parked at Site 817,

across from the Pickleball

Courts.

We have 50 Amp Electric Service, water and sewer hookups.  Voltage is good here.  I think everyone at Fortuna de Oro with satellite TV an open sky for TV reception.  

After setting up our campsite, it's time for lunch.  Wednesday Martinis will follow.
