Windsor Star Reporter Claire Brownell Takes on Detroit

I had been reading about Detroit for several years and was following the city's tightening downward spiral into bankruptcy.  Our brief tour of Detroit on August 4, 2013 left me sad.  This city that produced cars for decades and gave us Motown is after a brief tour, a city in horrible decline.

About a week later I read The Windsor Star and Claire Brownell, newspaper reporter, is doing a seven part series on Detroit.  Brownell's articles are focused on what's going on in Detroit and why a visit to this ciry is worth the trip.  The first installment was a bike ride around Detroit.

I know there's a lot more to Detroit's story than decline, decay and doom.  Claire Brownell is telling the other side of the story and I appreciate her efforts.
