Eric Replaces the Bathroom Ceiling Fan in Yuma, Arizona

Every home occasionally needs repair.  The Bathroom Ceiling Fan stopped working.  After doing some online research, Eric replaced the Plunger Switch, the most common cause of Ceiling Fan failure in RVs.  The Fan still didn't work.  The next step is to research replacing a Fan Motor Unit.

After purchasing a new Ceiling Fan/Motor, Eric and I worked together to move the new Fan and tools onto the roof of our 2004 Winnebago Vectra before Eric started this project.

After removing the Fan's Vent
Cover, Eric started to unfasten the
screws from the old Fan/Motor
Unit.

His knees are protected
by strap-on Knee Pads.

This job includes some
basic electrical work.

I look up through the new
Fan while Eric looks down.

The motor is in the middle
of the Fan.

The Fan must work correctly before he replaces the Fan Vent Cover.

Eric replaces the Fan Vent Cover and packs up the tools.   He's decided on a new project - Replacing the two old, cracked Covers.  The new ones arrived one week after the Fan replacement.

One for the Bathroom Ceiling
Fan & one for the Kitchen
Ceiling Fan.

The old Fan Cover looks fine

Previously Eric covered cracks on the front of the Cover with White Duct Tape.

Starting a new project...

He uses his electric Screwdriver
to remove the old, cracked
Fan Cover.

Lining up the new Fan Cover...

...double checking his placement.

It's time to add the screws to
the new Fan Cover.

Eric will repeat this process on the Kitchen Ceiling Fan Cover, closer to the front of our motorhome.

After Eric finishes replacing the Kitchen Fan Cover, I'll take the old, cracked Covers to the trash.
