Visiting Arches National Park in Moab, Utah

Arches National Park

Eric and I have Timed Entry Reservations to this very popular National Park.

About 6 million years ago increasing pressure on the Earth's Crust caused a miles-long break or fault. The west side of the fault, past the highway, is 2,600 feet higher than where Eric and I are standing, on the eastern side of the fault.

Eric drives while I
take pictures.

A panoramic view that previews today's visit & Eric's video.

Many of the formations have names.

Sedimentary stone formed on top of a  Salt Dome.  As the stone continued to accumulate the weight of it pressed down on its weak foundation.  The Salt Dome collapsed, creating Salt Valley.
