Visiting the Petroglyphs North of Deming, New Mexico

There are Petroglyphs
about a mile south of
Hidden Valley Ranch.







The boulder sits at the bottom of a hillside.  If needed, lookouts could watch approaches to this area.

The ancient symbols

At the base we see...

...holes made by ancient 
Indians to grind seeds with
hand held grinding stones.

This is very likely a place where ancient Indians gathered, ground seeds into flour and exchanged information.
