With over 500 campsites &
30 cabins, Gulf State Park
Campground is huge.
Here's an overview....
Staff in the Office register campers
& answer questions.
I love having a Mail Box at
the campground.
I've mailed Post Cards and a Get Well Card since arriving here.
I have a choice of daily
newspapers here.
Pedestrian Walkways have
an Ocean theme.
Gator Road has an
Alligator Mascot.
One of the 11 Bath Houses
in the campground.
Rabbit Run hosts
Primitive Camping.
Puddles from the morning's
rain along one of the
campground's roads
A select few have campsites
along Middle Lake.
Campground Amenities are
in one area....
Tennis/Pickleball Courts
Red lines delineate the
smaller Pickleball
Courts.
The Boat Launch for
Middle Lake
Boats can tie up to
piers.
This building houses The Laundry,
on the left & the Camp Store, on
the right.
The Laundry has 22 Washers
& 22 Dryers & is open 24/7.
Wash Loads cost $2.00
Dryer Loads cost $1.25.
The Camp Store has
Bike Rentals too.
The Nature Center
It's too nice today to
go investigate...
The entrance to the Pool.
I'll have to bring my
swimsuit when I
investigate this area.
Gourds & a Blue Martin
Apartment House....
I watch birds perch near the
Gourds & one flies away.
The bird in the Gourd
on the left watches the
birds fly in & leave.
This is the photo of our
"neighborhood."
A Wifi Repeater is on
on left
Our campsite doesn't have
shade on the awning side
for most of the day.
Eric added the blue screen &
tie downs to give us this
small amount of shade.
Our tiny little Cabana has been set to provide some shade too.
Eric and I like biking around the campground and are planning bike rides along the State Park's trails.
