Eric & I drove 37 miles east
from Shark Valley to Ochopee
to see America's smallest
Post Office.
I have to tell you, I was skeptical... The Post Offices in Langtry, Texas and Chicken, Alaska are really small.
The Ochopee Post Office is
the tool shed on a local
tomato farm.
This tiny building was "pressed into service" after a fire in 1953 destroyed the Ochopee General Store and Post Office.
As the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
Postal services & bus
tickets for Trailways
Bus Company are
sold here.
.... And now you've seen
the rest of the Post
Office.
This is one of the reasons I love travelling.... Finding oddities.... like the smallest Post Office in America.
