Part of Eric's research was to investigate solar panel companies' websites. AM Solar has education pages that are extensive and easy to navigate.
Eric emailed the company about a year ago and started a conversation with Deb Holden about the solar panel installation that he envisioned. Eric booked an appointment and he and Deb continued to work on the configuration of our proposed installation. Eric and Deb talked about specific parts, wire gauges etc.
Eric wanted a specific surge protector that the company didn't carry. Deb ordered it from the company that manufactures it in Washington State. It is shown installed below.
The photo below shows the inverter they installed after Eric and I decided to upgrade that too. The old inverter was a Modified Sine Wave so we wanted to upgrade to a Pure Sine Wave inverter because of our many electronic gadgets on board that are happier with cleaner power.
Emails continued. As October approached, a few phone calls were exchanged. Eric and Deb agreed that they had covered all the details. The materials were ready. The staff at AM Solar were ready to meet us, look over our motor home, make their plan, review it with Eric and then.... Get to work.
In two days the solar panels, wiring, AGM Batteries, surge protector, solar controller, inverter and other parts of the system were installed with easy access control panels.
The system is working very smoothly. Eric and I know that if we need assistance, we can email or call Greg and Deb. Thanks AM Solar for your expert solar panel configuration, installation and support.
