Back @ The Desert Bar Near Parker, Arizona

Eric takes a shot of us
in front of the chapel.

Eric & I follow our shadows
as we approach the bridge
to The Desert Bar.

Eric & I walk down the
stairs to get lunch.

Looking up at solar panels
that shade one of the
seating areas.

The first time Eric and I visited The Desert Bar in 2014, it was powered by generators.  At each return visit, we see more and more solar panels providing electricity.  With more power at their disposal, the menu has expanded, a lot.

There are tasty choices
to be made for lunch.

Even with solar panels providing more power and an expanded menu, The Desert Bar still looks like Thunderdome. The rough-hewn wooden buildings, tarps that shade visitors from the sun and handrails made out of pipes create a Dystopian scene in the Arizona mountains.

Looking up from the patio, I
find a "keyhole" & see a visitor
making his way down the hill.

Looking down from the patio
I see the chapel, parking lot,
the bridge to The Bar &
the food area below.

All too soon it's time to start the drive south to our campsite on BLM Land, north of Quartzsite.

The approach driving lane is
separated from the departure
lane by a concrete wall...

So dystopian...
