Eric and I are in the mood for Italian Food. We scour the menus of restaurants in....
... San Diego's Little Italy.
Our choice is Mimmo's.
The menu has sauce style
& pasta choices.
Plus, they have lunch portions. Eric and I will have room for an appetizer and dessert.
Open doors lead to the bar.
Eric & I get a shaded

is an excellent choice to
accompany lunch.
Our appetizer is Calamari
Fritti, served with
Spicy Marinara.
The lightly toasted bread
is served with
herbed Olive Oil.
Delicioso!
Eric admires our pasta choices.
topped with freshly grated Parmesan
Mine: Cavatappi with Bolognese
Sauce & Sausage topped with
shaved Parmesan
It's been months since Eric and I have eaten Italian out. We are pleased with our choices of sauces, pastas and meat accompaniments.
The Capital District in Upstate New York has a large Italian American population, dedication to Italian Cuisine and excellent restaurant dishes. I am grateful that San Diego's Little Italy has the same dedication to Italian foods that Eric and I are accustomed to.
Sharing Tiramisu is a
fitting way to complete
a delightful Italian
lunch.
Our day tripping into San Diego is coming to an end. There's so much more to explore. We have to return and walk around Little Italy, eat some more great Italian food, visit the museums in Balboa Park, hang out on the Embarcadero's waterfront, in the Gaslamp Quarter or Coronado.
