as guests arrive.

The conical roof with
a chandelier in a
seating area.
Built in the 1860s as a shelter for sheep that grazed in Central Park, the building was redesigned as a restaurant during the 1934 renovation of the Park.

While being seated, I told the Hostess that our 40th Anniversary was a few weeks ago.

Tavern on the Green was used as a location in the 1984 Ghostbusters movie. Louis Tully appeared at the Glass Wall behind us as he was running from Vinz Clortho. He was desperately trying to find a way inside to escape the ferocious demi-god pursuing him.
