The Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph is a short walk from the San Jose Museum of Art.
The building is empty and the lights have been turned off. I'm relying on natural light from the windows as I take photos without flash.
What is a Basilica? The word means "royal house." In the Catholic Church, a basilica is a church building that has been given special privileges by the Pope.

Eric and I came to San Jose to visit The Museum of Art and have an impromptu tour of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph. This unexpected side trip is one of the reasons that we enjoy travel.
