Thousand Trails Medina Lake
RV Campground....
... is about an hour northwest
of San Antonio.
Thousand Trails Campgrounds don't reserve specific campsites for their members. After finding a site and settling in, Eric calls the Office to report where we will be staying for
two weeks.
two weeks.
ARRRR Matey we are
berthed in "R" Section.
We have a back in
campsite.
Our DirecTV Dish picked up satellites we use to watch TV. The electric service at this site is 30 amp. We have water and sewer hookups.
As Eric and I walk towards the Activity Center, we realize that Medina Lake RV Campground is very large. The map states that it's not to scale. Half a mile later, we come across....
... the Playground...
... & the Activity Center.
Wifi is available here.
Wifi is available here.
A Pickleball Court is
under the building's
large awning.
located here too.
The Horseshoe Pits
sit beneath shade trees.
Twister anyone?
The Propane Refill Tank, Welcome Center, Basketball Court, Laundry and Swimming Pool are a quarter mile from our campsite.
A circular driveway makes
RV access for propane
fills easy.
I like the horse drawn Covered
Wagon in front of the
Welcome Center.
The Basketball Court sits
empty, at this moment.
The Laundry is located in
this rustic building.
Two sets of three washers &
three dryers line both sides
of the building, with a table
in the middle of the space.
The cost of a load of laundry or a dryer load is $1.50.
The Swimming Pool
The Whirlpool Spa sits beneath a Pergola on the far side of the Pool. On the far left is a small, shallow swimming pool for the youngest campers.
A rough count of the campsites listed on the Medina Lake RV Campground is 300 plus on 260 acres. Eric and I have miles of walking ahead of us during our stay.
