Sampling Beers at the Derailed Pour House in Durango, Colorado

Eric is in the mood to try
local beers at the Derailed
Pour House.

Great name!

I admire the decor
while Eric makes
his selections.

I loved the cozy
sitting area.

The back bar is an antique,
with beautifully carved wood.

Eric looks for malty
beers...dubels, triples,
a tasty ale, a porter...

The beers are listed
on brown paper.

This device was custom made to make changing the list of draft beers easy. The roll of paper behind each beer name is is set up to roll forward to give Derailed Pour House staff clean paper to write the name of the new beer on tap.

Today's selection of
draft beers

Eric sampled the Embudo Cold Golden Ale, Autumn Sun Ale, Whitewater Wheat Ale, La LLorona Scottish Ale and Penasco Porter.  I sipped from each beer, as I usually do. Penasco Porter was Eric's favorite.  I would like a short glass of the Penasco Porter with some ice cream....

The Pour House's
stage is busy during
the evenings.

It's time to mosey on down the street and see what else Durango has to offer.
