Tortilla Flat, Arizona Population: 6

Before 1906 this small community, Tortilla Flat, was a welcome stop on the rugged Yavapai Trail, later known as the Apache Trail.  Construction of the roadway to the Roosevelt Dam "cemented" the tiny community's place in Central Arizona.

1870s miner Jacob Waltz was well known in this area of Arizona.  Besides having a sour disposition and a ravenous appetite, he is said to be the owner of the famed Lost Dutchman Mine.
