Our last stop in Tortilla Flat
is the Superstition Saloon.
The sign says that the
Saloon sells Good Food.
All that white is dollar bills
left by visitors.
We decide to sit at
the bar...
Eric sits on a Horse Saddle.
Barkeep, slide me a mug
of suds....
Eric got a glass of Superstition Saloon's House Draft Snake Venom Amber Ale and I got a glass of the House Pour Mule Oil Light Pilsner. They are tasty and represent their beer styles well.
I look up & see more
dollar bills decorating
the underside of
the bar header.
The bartender told us that there's over $350,000 dollars in Dollar Bills in the Saloon. Some sections have layers of Dollar Bills stapled to the walls.
The dead hang out at
Superstition Saloon.
In the Wild Wild West
money is carefully
guarded, behind
bars.
The rather unformed piece in
the upper center of the picture
is a small Canvas Boat.
Dollar bills are the background
for the display.
Here's a link to the Menu. Eric and I were happy with our "suds."
Household items, Wagon Wheels,
a Mexican Hat & bag of Gold???
A local criminal clutches a
Dollar Bill as he stares out
of the barred window.
To me, the Wooden Shoe
is not in keeping with the
Wild West Theme.
That's a Snake Skin spanning
six feet or more of wall space.
An artist contributed a
painting of Tortilla
Flat to the Saloon.
Our last photo in Tortilla Flat.
It's time to retrace our route
back to Mesa.
