The Amazing Red Rock Formations at Sedona, Arizona

Bell Rock

The red stone formations
are the result of iron
oxidizing.

Submarine Rock &
Chicken Point

Wind & weather has
created amazing formations.

Cathedral Rock

The towers are
magnificent.

Houses & businesses lie
at the base of these
formations.

Chimney Rock

These formations attracted
 Native Americans, who believe
 this is a sacred place.

Like much of the west, the
railroad came through
Sedona, then settlers.

Sedona's rock formations gave rise to talk of vortexes that conduct energy.  They are located at some of the formations in the area.  Some believe that the vortexes conduct spiritual energy.  Sedona is a tourist's mecca with hiking, off road trails, Jeep trips to the rock formations, lots of shopping and numerous shops selling crystals and offering fortune telling.  Hire a sensitive guide to take you to the vortexes.

Natural beauty has been Sedona's source of growth.  HomesAndLand.com (type in Sedona AZ) advertises properties for sale in the area.  I browsed their flier and found that many home prices start at half a million dollars and go up from there.  There was some affordable housing, but the majority of the properties were high six figures and up.

I can see why people want to live here.  The area's natural beauty is stunning.... Just driving around the area, I wanted to live here too.  That's not going to happen, but this area is so beautiful!

Some of the best views are in Oak Creek Canyon. Driving the loop road on the west side of town is also a beautiful drive. Sedona green
