Lunch at The Jambalaya Shoppe in Baton Rouge

While visiting the Baton Rouge 

Area Convention &Visitors
Bureau,Eric asked for
recommendations on where to
find great Southern food.

We were directed to 

The Jambalaya Shoppe

on Main & 6th.

Eric ordered Jambalaya,Gumbo

& White Beans.  There was so

much food on the plate, that I 

didn't order any.

We had fun talking with the staff.

It was almost 2 pm, when they close 

for the day & they dished up a take

out tray for us to take with us.

We asked for recommendations on bakeries that sell King Cake.  The lovely lady at the

counter told us she gets her King Cake at Gambino's Bakery.  

The Jambalaya Shoppe is very
busy& they want everyone to
know that they appreciate
everyone's business...

especially when they are too
busy to say hello, goodbye or
thank you.

Eric input Gambino's Bakery into the GPS and we headed off to find King Cake.
