Our home state of New York is purple. Maryland, Virginia, Florida and New Hampshire are colored in because we stayed a night in each state and visited with family in each. North Carolina is included because we went to a SKP Acre Rally in April 2012. All the other states included in this graphic were visited and blogged about after our retirement in September 2012.
Do we have a favorite state or states, so far? It's too early to pronounce any verdicts. The geography of our country and diversity of things to do is so varied. We have been wowed over and over again, and our travels have barely begun. Maybe my next update will have some states listed and why they made our favorites list. Stay tuned....

Off topic for blog post, but did you know about a program on CNBC that aired last night, I think it was called "Extreme Manufacturing" which in this episode featured Winnabago Vectra manufacturing? Really fascinating, try to find it.
A.
Vectra manufacturing, you say? I must find this! Factory tours are on our "to do" list. They are fun and they are free... Within retirees' budgets.
Here we go: It's being aired again per http://www.cnbc.com/id/49453708

Bonnie, Thanks for supporting our choice of criteria. There has been some protest from a family member. Eric and I aren't budging on how we count states visited.
I think you could just go and knock off all those New England states in one day.
We can do this in a week..... Must stay 1 night & go to 1 activity.... Lots of time for hanging out.
