Interstate 40 East takes Eric & me
to our next Mississippi River on
on the Hernando De Soto Bridge.
I wonder if the shiny Pyramid
is a Casino.
The Pyramid is a Bass Pro Shop.
Tennessee Welcomes You
The east bank of the Mississippi River
Highway ramps take us...
... back to the bridge.
Arkansas' sandy riverbank.
Welcome to Arkansas
Eric drives through Cotton Country.
Eric & I watch a Dust Devil

Our next River Crossing
The sandy Mississippi riverbank
The Arkansas side of the River.
I think the water level is low here.
The water level in the Mississippi River is at an all-time low right now. The US Army Corp of Engineers is dredging to keep channels open to allow barges to move up and down the River.
Welcome to Mississippi
Clarksdale's The Crossroads
It's legendary...
This is how the story goes: Ambitious Blues Player Robert Johnson went to the Crossroads and at the stroke of midnight, he summoned the Devil to make a bargain. In return for the Devil tuning his Guitar, Johnson gave the Devil his soul. His fingers danced across its strings, making amazing, unearthly sounds. He moaned and wailed so sorrowfully... Delta Blues stories and innovative Guitar playing flowed from him.
Robert Johnson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.
And you guessed right, we are spending the night in the Clarksdale Walmart Parking Lot.
