Beaujolais Nouveau Day @ BevMo! in Chula Vista, California

Today, November 15th is the third Thursday of November... Beaujolais Noveau Day.  At 12:01 am, recently harvested and freshly fermented Beaujolais Noveau Wine, made with Gamay Grapes, in the Beaujolais Region of France is available for sale worldwide.  There are festivals in Beaujolais Province and all over the world

Eric & I drove to BevMo!
in Chula Vista in search of
this crisp, fruity red wine.

A small display is featured
in the entryway of
the store.

This year Georges DuBoeuf also released Rose Nouveau.

I am surprised by the price....  $11.99 is a lot for this young wine.  Last year, we bought Beaujolais Nouveau for $8.49 per bottle in Conroe, Texas and there was a 10% discount on a case of wine.

Let's ponder, while tasting from a single purchase.  If we like it, we'll buy it.

Eric & I both liked the
wine & we bought a
case.

BevMo! was offering discounts on cases of wine, but not the Beaujolais Nouveau.
