Ninja SUSHI has a large menu.  With so many choices, we decided to let the Chef decide what our lunch would be...

He is building The Love Boat

for us with the freshest

ingredients.

From the back of the Boat to the Front:  Gyoza Dumplings, Nigiri made with White Fish, Shrimp, Salmon, & Tuna; Seaweed Wrapped Temaki, Jalapeno Shrimp Rolls, & Wakame Seaweed Salad

Eric and I thanked the Chef for our creative lunch.  Our choice of Ozeki Nigori Cloudy Sake was the perfect accompaniment to the many flavors and textures in The Love Boat.

Driving on The Imperial Dunes in Glamis, California

Eric & I drove an hour to the

 Imperial Dunes in Glamis,

 California.

We  chose a Monday visit because Glamis is VERY busy on the weekends, with over 100,000 vehicles driving the Dunes.

Eric arranged our UTV ride

at Glamis Dunes Rentals.

He inspects our 2-Seat CanAm

 Maverick X3 DS Turbo.

It has a 120 Horsepower Engine.

Helmets are required.  Glamis Dunes Rentals provides them for people who don't bring them.

Our seatbelts are on.

Let's go!

It's a beautiful day for

a ride.

These Sand Dunes were formed from the windblown sands of an ancient Lake.  They extend 40 miles and average about 5 miles across.  

There are occasional

trees & bushes in this

desolate area.

It takes a while to get used

 to Eric driving along the

sides of the Dunes.

He heads to the crest of

this Dune.

alerts other drivers to

our location.

This is a beautiful place.

It's been used as a film location for movies:  Lawrence of Arabia, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, and Jumanji: The Next Level.

Motorcycle Riders & UTVs

The dots at the crest of

Oldsmobile Hill are

Motorcycle Riders.

This area is the perfect place

for the Tatooine scenes in

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

Our two-hour ride has come to an end. 

Eric & I got Ice Cream Cones

to celebrate our time at Glamis.

Today was great!
