Eric used TripAdvisor to find
in Henderson.
Forrest Mars, Sr. was inspired
by his mother's recipes to
create this business,
named for his mother.
Born into the Mars Candy family, Forrest, Sr. worked for Mars, Nestle, and Tobler. He brought the candy that would become M&Ms to Hershey. Following his father's death in 1964, he returned to the Mars Company and merged it with his chocolate business.
After retirement in 1993, Forrest, Sr. started Ethel M Chocolates to create fine gourmet candies. He died in 1999 and Ethel M Chocolates joined with Dove and M&M Candies.
Eric & I walk down the
Viewing Aisle to see how
Gourmet Chocolates
are made.
The Cooling Tables
Everyone is dressed for
the factory, with hard
hats, hairnets &
white uniforms.
Chocolates have been prepared...
... & are spread along the
Cooling Table.
Chocolate Covered
... are decorated with
green frosting.
The Melting Tanks Area
is quiet during our visit.
It looks like the staff is ready
to start the One-Shot
Depositors section.
At the end of the Viewing Aisle
is the Edith M Chocolates
is the Assembly Line.
This is very neat & orderly.
